Sony BMG Music Entertainment has officially decided to take part in Nokia Comes with Music; a music service that will allow free access to Sony BMG’s music catalog for a year.Users will be able to download unlimited music to their phone or computer in the first year of owning their Nokia device. At the end of the 12 months, the users can keep the downloaded tracks. If a new compatible device is purchased, the contect can be transfered on to the new device. Once the initial one year period is over, additional tracks can be purchased from the Nokia Music Store or one can sign up for an unlimited access subscription.
Comes With Music is planned on being launched in the second half of 2008 in selected markets with Sony BMG and Universal Music Group International in the ‘mix’.
