"Marcy Place," a Dominican Bachata group consisting of Juan Carlos Cabrera and brothers Billy and Joey Pabón, met Don Omar in early 2007 during a recording session in Aventura's studio - located on Marcy Place in the Bronx. Impressed by their enthusiasm and work ethic which reminded him of his early struggles in Puerto Rico; Don Omar signed them to his label and named the group "Marcy Place." The group's debut album, B From Marcy Place is a mix of Bachata, R&B, pop and merengue, and features collaborations with Aventura's Lenny Santos, Don Omar and Wisin y Yandel.
